Mellish Engineering Services forging department has hot forge presses which are able to manufacture a wide range of diameters and lengths. We also have a tooling department based on site. Good quality tooling is vital in making sure you get the right quality fastener on time, this is why Mellish has invested in state of the art Spark errosion equipment, which allows flexibilty to produce hot forged fasteners on the quickest of deliveries.

Most special alloys are forged at Mellish, along with all stainless steels and your more common alloy grades of material.

Hexagon and socket head components are what Mellish specialise in, but such is the diversity of special bolting, such fasteners as square heads, 12 point (ferry heads) and cup square fasteners can also be produced.

Our current size range is as follows :

• M10 / 1/2 " diameter to M36 / 1 3/8 diameter, and lengths up to 10 inches.
  
  Mellish are also happy to produce part finished forgings (blanks). Hot forging has taken Mellish to the next stage of complete fastener supply, and with CNC machining and thread rolling capabilities Mellish can offer fully certified fasteners with "rolled threads and forged heads"!
  
  We can offer cut threads; CNC single pointed threads and rolled threads.
